Article 1: Objectives of the Internal Rules #
These rules, validated at the General Assembly on December 16, 2023, aim to clarify and complement the statutes of the European Japanese Garden Association.
Article 2: Activities Envisaged #
The association aims to create a network of Japanese gardens in Europe, connecting those interested in the art of Japanese gardens. It is open to owners of Japanese gardens (private or public), associations, communities, companies, institutions, gardeners, designers, landscaping companies, universities, and enthusiasts.
The activities include:
- Identifying and listing Japanese gardens in Europe.
- Networking all partners.
- Communicating activities undertaken by members.
- Participating in the creation or renovation of Japanese gardens in Europe.
- Developing relations with Japanese authorities in Europe and Japan.
- Connecting members with institutional partners, universities, and companies.
- Organizing events or participating in member-proposed activities (study trips, symposiums, etc.).
- Engaging in training activities and working towards creating a certificate for Japanese garden technicians in Europe.
- Fostering cultural, educational, and economic exchanges between Japan and Europe.
- Implementing new activities approved by the Board of Directors.
Article 3: Powers and Votes by E-mail or in Person #
General Assembly meetings will use video conferencing technology (e.g., Zoom) to enable participation from various locations. Members can vote on proposed resolutions electronically during the meeting or submit votes 24 hours in advance. All electronic votes will be counted alongside submitted forms, and any duplicate votes will be invalidated.
Article 4: Renewal and Duration of the Internal Rules #
These rules take effect upon approval by the General Assembly and can only be modified with approval at a General Assembly meeting.
